The Way We Build - Frankfurt

Living in Germany was a transformative experience that deeply influenced my artistic vision.

The city’s architecture, with its blend of historical buildings and modern skyscrapers, provided an endless source of inspiration for what would become my yearly aerial photography project; "The Way We Build".

Frankfurt, known for its imposing skyline and cultural vibrancy, stands out as a city where history and modernity coexist harmoniously. The unique architectural style, characterized by sleek, geometric lines and innovative designs, served as the perfect canvas for my exploration of urban landscapes from above.

During my stay, I used to explore the city walking or by train, and I was particularly drawn to the contrast between the traditional and the contemporary. This juxtaposition highlighted the city’s evolution and its ability to preserve its heritage while embracing innovation.

Inspired by Frankfurt’s unique architectural style, I began my project "The Way We Build", which aims to showcase the architectural beauty of cities around the world through aerial photography. Using drones, I captured the intricate patterns and structures that define Frankfurt’s urban landscape. The aerial perspective offered a fresh viewpoint, revealing details that are often overlooked from the ground.

Through this project, I want to convey how architecture shapes our environment and influences our daily lives. The aerial shots not only highlight the aesthetic aspects of the buildings but also emphasize the thoughtful planning and design that go into creating functional, yet beautiful spaces.
